Day 3
MORNING
The Shack on Broadway
This cozy diner easily sells one of the best breakfast smorgasbords in Fargo. It’s well worth the drive to the northern edge of Fargo for their massive omelets (we recommend the Meat Lover’s), extra large caramel rolls (made fresh every day and only available until they run out), and fluffy pancakes (seriously, they’re so fluffy). Plus, there’s a coupon!

Plains Art Museum
Following your morning pick-me-up, head to Plains Art Museum in Downtown Fargo to check out nationally recognized art pieces with Native American works sprinkled in.
Plains Art has free admission, but you can opt for a guided tour for $4 per person if you’d like a more curated experience.
704 1st Ave N, Fargo | (701) 551-6100
Ice Cream
Ice cream is everywhere you look in Fargo-Moorhead. Try Tea and Crepe for their Thai Rolled ice cream experience, or opt for a Dilly Bar at the Moorhead Dairy Queen where they were invented. All of these options have cost-conscious treats.
See a Norwegian Stave Church
An exact replica of the Stave church outside of Vik, Norway, you can find a piece of Scandinavia in Moorhead outside the Hjemkomst Center. Walking around the park and church is free, but entry to the church and Hjemkomst Center is $8-10.
